Timecrumbs isn't recording
- Check for the clock in the system tray, by the Windows clock. That's the recorder. If it stopped after sleep, unlocking, or a crash, it starts again on its own within a few minutes, even with the Timecrumbs window closed.
- If you chose Stop Recording Until Tomorrow, Timecrumbs says so at the top of the window. Click Start Recording to start again today; otherwise it starts by itself tomorrow.

Calendar warnings or missing meetings
- If Timecrumbs asks you to sign in once more, click Connect Calendar and sign in again.
- If sign-in fails, click Connect Calendar again: Timecrumbs shows what went wrong. A new work account sometimes has no mailbox for the first day or two.
- If your firm's IT has to approve new apps, see the IT approval link.
Time Timecrumbs didn't record
- Timecrumbs records only while your computer is on and you're using it. Time away from your desk is set aside so it isn't billed by mistake.
- When you come back after a while away, Timecrumbs asks what you were doing, with its best guesses one tap away. If you miss it, the question waits in the Inbox.
- For time away from your computer, such as a site visit, click Add Entry in the day's header.
No suggestions, or the wrong project
- Timecrumbs matches your work to the projects on your list, so check that the list isn't empty and the project is on it.
- It helps when a project's name or number shows up in your file names, folders, or email subjects. If it doesn't, give the project an alias that does.
- Correct an entry once and Timecrumbs remembers. If two projects have similar names, add an alias to the right one, or Retire finished projects so they stop matching.
Pausing or turning off screenshots
Use Pause 30 min or the Screenshots button in the day view, or the tray menu. You can delete any screenshot, or every screenshot for a block, from Screenshot Review.
Uninstalling
Use Windows Settings, Apps. Your data is left in place in case you reinstall. To remove it too, delete %LOCALAPPDATA%\Timecrumbs and %APPDATA%\Timecrumbs.
